Visit the Dominican Sisters’ Online Holiday Boutique

September 20, 2020 by Carmen Hart

Dear Colleagues in Catholic Education: Parents, Friends, Teachers, Parishioners,

No one would have ever dreamed that 2020 would be the year that we are currently experiencing! Unemployment, fires, pandemic, school closures, distance learning, climate crisis, ZOOM, “shelter in place”, all our experiences of the past seven months. God is keeping us safe!

There are traditions, institutions, and relationships we count on that continue to be strong for us during difficult times: family, Church, friends, Catholic Schools and a relationship to the Religious Community, the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. We Sisters have been praying for you through all these challenging months. Thank you for keeping healthy. Thank you for continuing to make the professional choice of Catholic Education for children.

One of the traditions that has continued for almost 70 years is the Dominican Sisters’ Holiday Boutique, a great gathering of Sisters, Volunteers, Family, and Friends the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year that tradition is taking a turn, like so many other events in your life. Our Holiday Boutique is exclusively on line ordering. Welcome to easy shopping from our catalogue items. Most of the items are made by Dominican Sisters. Let your fingers take you to https.//dsmsj-boutique.myshopify.com/.

We especially encourage you to print up a raffle ticket or ticket page, fill it out and mail with the price ($10 per ticket) to Boutique Coordinator, 43326 Mission Circle, Fremont, CA 94539. All the funds received through this legal drawing will go directly to the support of our Senior Sisters, many who have fond memories of teaching at youfschool. This year the funds will contribute to safety upgrades in the dining rooms in keeping with public health food service requirements.

Have a relaxing stroll through the catalogue. Consider doing your Christmas shopping on our Boutique site while also supporting the Dominican Sisters. And purchase that “winning” raffle ticket.

We are one heart in our loving God! Blessings for the Holiday Season! Stay safe!
