St. Frances X. Cabrini School wishes you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving season. Friends like you, our supporters, are among the many reasons we are thankful here at St. Frances X. Cabrini School (SFXC). Thank you if you have been a past donor, or have been involved in our school community, or have prayed for our students. We are writing today to ask for your continued support, with a focus on tuition assistance.
Tuition assistance is our priority this year because we want as many Catholic neighborhood families as possible to benefit from the warmth, faith and opportunities that SFXC offers. We are proud of our school’s array of programs and academics, yet we have very few revenue sources. Ninety-eight percent of our student body receives tuition assistance in varying degrees. Our goal is to support our current student body so that they can continue attending SFXC through graduation, and to offer the opportunity of a Catholic education at SFXC to additional needy students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend. We have the capacity to take in many more students, but we currently do not have the resources to do so.
SFXC families are committed to giving their children a Catholic education. They recognize the value of the education and safe learning environment we provide, and are willing to sacrifice to give their children that opportunity. Our families work hard so that they can afford to pay our modest tuition, but most need assistance to bridge the gap. To illustrate their strong commitment, and the important foundation that a SFXC education provides for our students, we want to share the story of one of our recent graduating families.
With tuition assistance, Armando and Irma Villarreal gratefully were able to send their three daughters to SFXC. Armando worked two jobs while Irma took care of their family and guided their son, Junior, who has autism. At SFXC, all three girls served in leadership positions and earned academic honors. Griselda and Araceli were awarded high school scholarships to Junipero Serra High School, and went on to attend Mt. Saint Mary’s College and the University of California at Irvine, respectively. They are now pursuing master’s degrees, while Diana is preparing to graduate high school and go on to college. The Villarreal family is grateful to SFXC for providing a strong foundation of faith, community and service, and for the tuition assistance that, to them, made all the difference.
For each gift of tuition assistance, SFXC can help another student benefit from the academics, faith, service and safe environment of a Catholic education at SFXC. Please help us bridge the gap so that our existing students are supported and more students can have opportunities similar to the Villarreal family.
Train the young in the way they should go; even when old, they will not swerve from it. Proverbs 22:6
At SFXC, we are blessed to be able to train our students to follow the better path. We welcome the little ones to eighth graders with God’s love and tenderness. All God’s children thrive at SFXC. Won’t you help
us bring more of them into the fold?
Many blessings for a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family, and God love you for your generosity toward SFXC School!
