Academics

St. Frances X. Cabrini School offers an in-depth and rigorous instruction for our 200 days extended school year. The Academic Grade Level Standards are blueprints for instruction in religious education, and in language arts, math science and social studies, and students with learning objectives that will contribute to their Spiritual and academic growth. Like other Archdiocesan schools, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini School follows specific student-based curriculum standards program called “Students and Teachers Achieving Remarkable Standards” (STARS). Currently, we are transitioning to Common Core State Standards using the Roadmap to 200 Days of Excellence Supporting Student Achievement All Year Long logistics provided by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Catholic Schools. The foundation of the roadmap is the current Archdiocesan standards and the student-centered curriculum model for grades K-8.

Most importantly, we address the needs of the different learning needs of each child. Accommodation strategies of differentiated instructions are applied for different learning strengths. The program emphasizes on engaging academic excellence while creating a nurturing environment, sensitive to each of the student’s unique talents and challenges.

Progress Reports and grades are made current through Gradelink on line.

St. Frances X. Cabrini implements the approved program of Good Touch/Bad Touch and VIRTUS teaching Touching Safety (Mandated September 1, 2006) for safe environment by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
